The Nordic COMPACT is a tribute to Nordic’s landscape, a design narrative that transforms natural elements into architectural poetry. The landscape surrounding Nordic Compact Jõelähtme is a curated symphony of nature, where ancient oak and boulders coexist with delicate Convallaria, all preserved to maintain the natural habitat.
Nordic Compact Jõelähtme serves as an epicenter of innovation and sustainability, harnessing solar energy, and natural materials to create a healthy indoor climate.

This functionally adaptable housing concept is the result of a synergistic collaboration between Architectural Office Tale and BUEN Nordic Houses. Designed with cutting-edge technologies and sustainable materials, the Nordic COMPACT is a testament to eco-conscious architecture.
Over the years, this esteemed housing solution has garnered significant recognition. Notably, our 46-unit holiday home development in Western Norway was honored with the Prefabricated House of the Year award in 2015. Further validating its architectural significance, the concept has been immortalized as a museum piece at the Estonian Open Air Museum since 2019, representing the pinnacle of 21st-century wooden house architecture. Most recently, in 2022, four of our residences were prominently featured at the Naantali housing fair in Finland, underscoring the concept’s widespread appeal and adaptability.
